Austrian Robotics Workshop 2011

Kern/UMIT

The Austrian Robotics Workshop originates from the Austrian RoboCup Workshop annually held by the RoboCup Austrian National Commitee. The Workshop seeks to bring together researchers, professionals and practitioners working on diverse topics in robotics in order to discuss recent developments and challenges in robotics and its applications. The 2-day workshop will be held at the University UMIT in Hall/Tyrol near Innsbruck on May 23rd and 24th of 2011.

Kern/UMIT

The University for health sciences, medical informatics and technology (UMIT) is located in Hall in Tyrol. UMIT was founded in 2001 and focuses on the exciting and rapidly developing fields of bio-informatics, health sciences, technology and related disciplines. Since 2009, the Universities UMIT and University of Innsbruck pursue a joint effort to establish a new line of research and teaching in mechatronics. The organization of the robotics workshop represents an important step for the coordinated efforts of these Tyrolean universities.
